A stage erected for an outdoor concert in Mexico City tragically collapsed on Thursday afternoon, resulting in injuries to seven individuals, as confirmed by local authorities.
The city’s Secretariat of Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection reported that the stage collapse occurred due to powerful gusts of wind.
These strong winds caused a significant metal structure that formed an integral part of the concert stage to give way and collapse. The incident unfolded at an outdoor venue that was prepared to host a musical event in commemoration of Mother’s Day celebrations.
