After almost a decade of battlement in court, Hollywood’s once-legendary couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has finally signed off on their divorce. The two, who married for only two years but had spent a decade together before getting married, signed off the settlement on December 30, 2024.

It has ended formally, but there is still fighting to be done, and one important battle has to do with the shared French chateau. An opulent residence that hosted the pomp of their 2014 wedding has been a sore point throughout these proceedings.

The legal team of Jolie said that she was relieved to be able to close this chapter now. According to her lawyer, the focus has always been on finding peace and healing for her family since she filed for divorce in 2016.

This high-profile divorce brings to a close the romance between two of the most famous actors in the world and proves even dazzling couples can have truly difficult endings.
