Everton have confirmed the sacking of manager Sean Dyche hours ahead of their FA Cup third-round tie against Peterborough. The decision follows a poor spell of form, with the Toffees winning only three of their 19 league games this season to sit one point above the relegation zone.
Dyche, who took over in January 2023, conceded recently that performances had not been good enough and admitted he was under pressure in his job.

Dyche leaves the club along with coaching staff Ian Woan, Steve Stone, Mark Howard and Billy Mercer.
Everton have started searching for a new manager but, for the time being, Under-18s manager Leighton Baines and the club captain Seamus Coleman will run the team. It is expected the pair will be in the dugout for Thursday’s FA Cup clash with Peterborough as the club aims to steady the ship following Dyche’s exit.
