The next stage for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is to carefully select a politician to serve as his running mate in the upcoming presidential election in 2023. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced that he will compete for the presidency in the upcoming general election, and he has been moving around to carry out his ostensible goals.

He has received support from a number of well-known people and organizations across the country. Thousands of monarchs in the country’s southwest have already endorsed him as the country’s next president. If he wants to choose a running mate, Tinubu must go to the northern portion of the country to find a Christian politician to be his running mate.

For the sake of fairness and equity, it has long been accepted that a region, as well as a religion, should not produce the two renowned leaders who will rule the country at the same time. Tinubu is a devout Muslim who should not pick a non-Muslim as his running mate. He needs to find a dynamic Christian politician. Tinubu is from the south of the country, while his running companion is expected to be from the north. Tinubu has the option of choosing between these two people.

First and foremost, Boss Mustapha, the current Secretary to the Government of the Federation, has been one of the most active members of President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet. Because Boss Mustapha has already worked in the system, he will have a higher chance of lifting Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s campaigns in the north of the country. He is from Adamawa State and will help Tinubu get more votes in the region.

Atiku Abubakar of Adamawa State is the leading opposition candidate who may run against Tinubu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). If Tinubu can secure Mustapha as his running mate, Atiku will be limited in the number of votes he can receive from Adamawa State, let alone the entire northern region.

Furthermore, the former Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Mr. Yakubu Dogara, should also be considered by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as one of the northern politicians whom he can use their influence to clear some doubts in the northern part of the country. Yakubu Dogara is the predecessor of the present Speaker of the House, Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila. Dogara is well established when it comes to Nigerian politics. He cannot be outsmartly excluded from the list of people that Tinubu can consider.

Yakubu Dogara

He can help Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu win the presidential election in his home state of Bauchi. Mr. Bala Mohammed, the state’s governor, is a leading member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and he is likely to oppose Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Tinubu can clear the territory by using Dogara’s factor.
