South Korea’s military expressed skepticism about the operational readiness of the new aircraft, stating it appears “large, heavy, and susceptible to interception.”

When questioned about possible Russian military assistance, South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff spokesperson Lee Sung-jun suggested that Russia may have supplied internal systems and parts for the aircraft.

Kim Jong Un also inspected new reconnaissance drones, electronic jamming systems, and attack drones. State media photos showed a fixed-wing UAV striking a tank-shaped target, demonstrating its suicide drone capabilities.

Additionally, North Korean troops reportedly deployed in Russia’s war in Ukraine have gained real-world drone warfare experience, further advancing Pyongyang’s unmanned combat strategies.
