Nigerian singer Joeboy faced online teasing from Adekunle Gold after losing N3 million on a failed bet during the Champions League quarterfinal between Real Madrid and Arsenal.
Before the match kicked off at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night, Joeboy had taken to X to show off his bet slip, revealing he backed Real Madrid to win. Had the Spanish side come out on top, the singer would have walked away with N10.3 million.
Feeling confident, Joeboy captioned the post: “Cashing out on Arsenal tears tonight!”
Unfortunately for him, Arsenal dominated the match, securing a convincing 3-0 victory and wiping out his stake.
After the final whistle, Adekunle Gold responded by reposting Joeboy’s tweet with the comment: “Lmao. You don go blow stream money. Next time face your club.”
