Liverpool Forward Diogo Jota Dies Along with Brother in Car Accident

Liverpool forward Diogo Jota and his younger brother André Silva, who also played professionally for Penafiel, have been confirmed dead after a crash crash earlier today . This accident happened on A-52 motorway near Palacios de Sanabria in the province of Zamora. Diogo was 28 and Andre was 25.

A source informed that the car which was driven off the road is on fire. Those who witnessed the accident thought it was on fire when the emergency services arrived. Unfortunatelly both men have been confirmed dead by the doctor attending the scene.

Liverpool FC put up a note that they are, “heartbroken over the untimely demise of Diogo Jota. The club will be grateful if the family’s privacy is respected during this very difficult time.”

The PFF, too, have lamented the passing of Jota complicating a number of times that he was an excellent athlete and a very good person respected by his friends and even the opponents.

Jota who on June 28 had a wedding and leaves behind three children, came to Liverpool in 2020 after playing at Wolves, Porto, and Atlético Madrid. He debuted for Portugal in 49 games scoring 14 goals and was also part of the team that won the UEFA Nations League.

Football communities from all over the world express their feelings of massive loss for a wonderful person and incredibly gifted player in memory of the great talent lost on and off the pitch.
