On the first day of the 2025 summer transfer market, clubs all over the continent are actively involved in several high-profile transactions aiming to empower their teams.

Paul Onuachu tops the charts of transfer stories after he signed a contract to become Trabzonspor player once again. The Turkish side agreed on a €5.6 million transfer with Southampton to get the Nigerian forward after his fruitful loan last season.

Nevertheless, Manchester United seem to be in a doubtful situation, as news have it that they might lose five players, among them are Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho, who are supposedly looking for new clubs.

Inter Milan can cheer up after a bad episode of the Club World Cup withdrawal with the arrival of Parma forward Yoan-Ange Bonny, who is to be reunited with the new manager Christian Chivu.

Direct transfer talk, Philippe Coutinho has confirmed that he is no longer a part of Aston Villa, as he has agreed to move to Vasco da Gama without a fee. Rodrigo Riquelme of Atletico Madrid has become a Real Betis player inter alia by signing a five-year deal, and the Arsenal board has decided to terminate the contract of Takehiro Tomiyasu due to his constant injuries.

Besides that, AC Milan has signed Samuele Ricci from Torino for 27 million euros carrry on to strengthen their midfield, and Athletic Club fans rejoiced as Nico Williams agreed to stay the club with an eight-year contract extension.

Southampton is on the verge of closing the transaction to get the services of American striker Damion Downs, and the parties have already agreed on a 10 million-euro payment. West Ham is preparing to break all the records of the Czech league while it transfers El Hadji Malick Diouf from Slavia Prague for €25 million.

Other headlines were that Borussia Dortmund have also agreed a deal to send Jamie Gittens to Chelsea, and Brentford have signed up Feyenoord striker Antoni Milambo at £17 million plus add-ons.

Several more transfers are still expected—like Newcastle’s £55m offer for Anthony Elanga and Napoli chasing after Darwin Nunez and Ademola Lookman—and the transfer window has only just begun.
