A report released Monday by Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee examining President Donald Trump’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein includes a detailed allegation that Trump raped a former Miss Switzerland in a Plaza Hotel suite in 1993.
Beatrice Keul, a retired model, told committee staff that she was 24 when she flew from Zurich to attend the American Dream Pageant in Manhattan. She said she met Trump at a lunch associated with the contest, where he promised to arrange a US visa and help her get into New York University through his friend Paolo Zampolli.
Later that day, Keul alleges, Trump invited her to his suite. The report states that upon entering, “Trump reportedly grabbed Keul from behind and forcibly raped her; in the process, tearing her dress and causing bleeding and bruising on multiple parts of her body.”
The Allegations
Keul described the alleged rape as “brutal,” according to the report. She said she remembered Trump sitting on the bed afterward, repeating his promise to help with her visa and education and telling her: “The show must go on.”

She returned to Switzerland after the pageant and declined to participate in another Trump-sponsored event in Hawaii weeks later. Keul previously made allegations about the Plaza Hotel incident in the Daily Mail two years ago, a week before the 2024 presidential election. Her account was denied at the time by Trump’s then-press secretary Karoline Leavitt, who called it “false.”
The report also compiled allegations from four other women who have accused Trump of rape or sexual assault in connection with the Epstein investigation, including Stacey Williams, Jill Harth, and two women using the pseudonyms “Katie Johnson” and “Jane Doe.” All of the allegations had been previously made public.
The Zampolli Connection
The report also alleges that Zampolli, a former Trump administration official and close Trump ally, was “an active participant” in the Epstein sex trafficking allegations. According to the report, Zampolli arranged US visas for young female models before they met Epstein. One FBI report mentioned that Zampolli arranged an 18-year-old model’s visa before she was recruited to give a massage at Epstein’s house, where Epstein allegedly raped her.
Zampolli was fired from his diplomatic role as Special Representative for Global Partnerships two weeks ago over a months-long dispute with the State Department’s deputy secretary. The report also disputes Zampolli’s claim that he introduced Melania Trump to Donald Trump, citing two accounts saying Epstein made the introduction.
The Political Context
The report’s release comes just over a week before Election Day. Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland, the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, called on the Department of Justice to appoint an independent special counsel to investigate the allegations.
“An independent special counsel must investigate Epstein’s co-conspirators and DOJ’s cover-up and ensure that state and foreign prosecutors have the evidence they need to pursue justice,” Raskin said.
The White House strongly denied the allegations. “This ‘report’ is nothing more than a desperate attempt by crazed Democrats to distract Americans from the surging Republican momentum driven by President Trump’s historic achievements,” spokeswoman Lauren Bis said. “The President kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of his club at Mar-a-Lago because he was a creep, and he has been fully exonerated of anything related to Epstein.”
The Bottom Line
A House Judiciary Committee report from Democrats has detailed an allegation that Donald Trump raped former Miss Switzerland Beatrice Keul in 1993. The report also compiled allegations from four other women and accused former Trump official Paolo Zampolli of facilitating Epstein’s sex trafficking network. As at the time of this report, the White House has denied all allegations. The report was released eight days before the midterm elections, and Democrats are presently calling for an independent special counsel.
