VeryDarkMan Reveals New Details in Cynthia Morgan, Jude Okoye Royalties Dispute

Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, has provided new insight into the long-running rift between singer Cynthia Morgan and her former record label boss, Jude Okoye.

Speaking on the issue, VeryDarkMan disclosed that he recently met Jude Okoye at an event and used the opportunity to confront him about the controversy surrounding Cynthia Morgan’s royalties and the ownership of her catalogue.

According to him, Jude Okoye responded by presenting evidence to clarify the situation, including a video recorded in 2016 where Cynthia Morgan herself announced her name change to “Madrina.” This, he said, directly contradicts the singer’s previous claim that Jude prevented her from using the stage name.

“Jude Okoye told me that Madrina unveiled her new name by herself,” VeryDarkMan stated.

He also revealed that Jude Okoye showed him financial records indicating that Cynthia Morgan’s royalties have amounted to just $3,860 since the beginning of her music career under the label. The figure shocked the activist, who initially believed Morgan’s public claims of being cheated out of significant earnings.

“I asked Jude about all the money that Cynthia Morgan accused him of owing her aside from the royalties,” VeryDarkMan said. “Jude Okoye said that I should take his records to the best auditor, let them audit. If there is anything missing, I should call him out on social media.”

VeryDarkMan went further to explain that Jude insisted the contract between them was not forced upon the singer, noting that it was originally prepared by Cynthia Morgan and her former manager before Jude signed it.

After examining the evidence provided, the activist admitted he felt embarrassed for confronting Jude Okoye based on one-sided claims, and called on Cynthia Morgan to publicly apologise for tarnishing Jude’s reputation online.

“I ran into Jude Okoye at an event and I approached him. I was like, ‘Bros, this matter with Cynthia Morgan, how do we go take settle am? She is going through a lot. She said she is not getting her royalties and you are taking advantage of her. You also collected the rights to her name because no one knows her as Madrina.’”

VeryDarkMan’s revelations have stirred fresh debate across social media, as followers of the controversy re-examine both sides of the story in light of the newly shared evidence.
