Trying to make a move to Liverpool Alexander Isak enraged the supporters of Newcastle and turned his reputation upside down at St. James’ Park. Although Liverpool offers a whopping £110 million, Newcastle is not moving, and they are not going to part with their top scorer who netted 27 goals last season.
The reaction to Isak’s methods, for example, “going on strike,” has been negative by the club’s supporters who think that he, in the end, fails the club by his doing. Even Alan Shearer, a Newcastle legend, put his finger on the point, saying that the Swedish international.
Isak contradicts himself by asserting he is innocent, but the groundswell opinion is that a player of his level should have done it in a different manner.
Though manager Eddie Howe has publicly stated that Isak can be brought back into the squad, fan anger was visible at the drawing of the first game of the season.
Now, as the transfer window is about to close, the Isak drama is still there with the potential to affect Newcastle negatively throughout their season if it continues. The future of Isak at the club which used to be his fan is now a long way from being clear.
