Shocking Truth About Woke Kids — Jim Iyke

Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has voiced concern about the increasing neglect among some parents in teaching African cultural values to their children.

In a recent statement, Iyke described the absence of cultural grounding as a serious issue, arguing that it often results in young people who lack respect, discipline, and balance.

He said, “I feel bad for people who have totally removed the African background from the upbringing of their children. It’s a dangerous thing to do without. They have no respect, they have no boundaries, they are extremely violent and excessively woke.”

The actor, well-known for his candid opinions, emphasized that embracing modern ideas does not have to come at the expense of cultural roots. He explained, “You can stay woke without being disrespectful, you can stay woke and know who your elders are, you can stay woke and still understand your priorities in life.”

Iyke also highlighted that children raised with proper values can be easily recognized even as adults. Reflecting on his observations, he added, “If you see parents that are getting it right you can know in their kids even when they are older. I know how to read the room when they step into one and respect everyone.”
