Nigerian musician Qudus Fakoya Olatunji, better known as Qdot, was the victim of an armed robbery at his Lagos residence in the early hours of Sunday.
The attack reportedly happened around 2:30 a.m. when gunmen forced their way into his home.
The robbers were said to have taken away phones and laptops and allegedly carried out transfers from his bank accounts. They also reportedly compromised his social media platforms.
Talent manager Dami Adenuga confirmed the development in a statement shared on X, where he warned fans and the public against engaging with suspicious activity linked to the singer’s online accounts.
He wrote, *“Nigerian singer Qdot was attacked and robbed at gunpoint in his home around 2:30 a.m. today. The armed robbers carted away his phones, laptops, and transferred all funds from his accounts.
“They also gained access to his social media accounts. The public is hereby urged to disregard any suspicious messages, posts, or financial requests coming from Qdot’s accounts at this time.”*
As of now, the Lagos State Police Command has not released an official statement on the incident.
Qdot, 35, is known for fusing Fuji with Afrobeats in hits like Alomo Meta, Gbese, and Jegele.
With his distinct street-inspired sound, he has carved out a place as one of the notable voices in Nigeria’s modern music landscape.
