Imisi, the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10, has shared a heartbreaking story about a personal loss she suffered shortly before auditioning for the reality show.

In a candid chat on TVC Entertainment, the reality star revealed that she lost her baby in April — just weeks before registering for the competition.

Describing the period as emotionally draining, she said the pain of the experience lingered as she entered the BBNaija house.

“It was this year in April. It was not even up to a month before I auditioned for Big Brother. The whole thing was so overwhelming for me. I do not want to talk about it,” she stated, choosing not to revisit the painful memory.

Imisi also disclosed that she ended her relationship with her then-boyfriend, Hakeem, around the same period. Although she didn’t give specific reasons for the split, she called the breakup “hectic,” admitting that she hadn’t fully healed before stepping into the show.

According to her, Hakeem had been her “safe place,” and their relationship had greatly shaped how she presented herself online. She explained that the image she projected on social media was influenced by his preferences and the dynamic of their relationship.

Born Opeyemi Ayanwale, Imisi outshone 28 other housemates to clinch the BBNaija Season 10 crown on October 5, taking home an ₦80 million grand prize along with a new SUV.
