Nigerian comedian Basketmouth has weighed in on the viral clash between comedian Mr Jollof and Nigerian social media critic VeryDarkMan, which erupted onboard a United Nigeria Airlines flight reportedly en route from Asaba, Delta State, to Lagos.
The pair were seen in a trending video exchanging punches mid-flight, leaving many Nigerians stunned by the public outburst.
Reacting in a video shared online, Basketmouth drew comparisons to his own long-standing feud with fellow comedian Ayo Makun, noting that despite their differences, violence was never an option. “AY and I had issues for a very long time, but we never exchanged punches. How did we get here? Why can’t we live in love?” he asked.
He also expressed disbelief that such a confrontation could happen in such a confined space, calling the incident shameful. “As tight as a plane is, Mr Jollof and VDM still found a space to fight. This is embarrassing,” he said.
