Former Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidimma Adetshina, has opened up on why she did not participate in the 2025 edition of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) despite initially expressing interest.
In August 2024, Adetshina had revealed her plans to join the reality show, but she ultimately missed out.
This year’s edition concluded in October with Imisi winning the N80 million cash prize and a brand-new SUV.
In a video posted on her X page, the beauty queen explained that her manager advised against her participation because she was still holding the Miss Universe Nigeria title.

“I also want to do Big Brother next year. I wanted to do it this year, but my manager said I couldn’t because I’m still Miss Universe Nigeria,” she said.
Adetshina also spoke fondly of her time in Nigeria, highlighting the opportunities she discovered during her stay.
“I really enjoyed my stay in Nigeria, and even now, like I said, once I get my documents sorted, I am going back. Nigeria was really great for me,” she shared.
“The eight months I spent there were amazing. I feel there is more to explore; there are so many opportunities in Nigeria.”
In November 2024, she had revealed plans to take a break from pageants to focus on her education, modeling, and acting career, suggesting that her upcoming BBNaija participation in 2026 would align with her broader professional goals.
