The widow of late Nigerian artist Ilerioluwa Aloba (Mohbad), Omowunmi Cynthia Aloba, has initiated formal legal measures to protect the musician’s estate from unauthorized interference.
On November 19, 2025, Omowunmi lodged a notice at the Lagos State High Court, Ikeja, informing the Probate Registry that she had already completed and submitted Forms 5 and 6.
This step ensures that Letters of Administration will only be issued to the rightful beneficiaries of Mohbad’s estate.

Her filing reaffirms her position as Mohbad’s legally recognised spouse and the mother of their only child, Master Liam Aloba, who remains the singer’s sole surviving offspring.
Omowunmi also noted that she had caused public announcements to be placed in two national newspapers in November 2025, a move meant to prevent fraudulent or unauthorized individuals from making claims on the estate.
According to her legal representatives, the notice is officially on record and must remain in force until the administration of the estate is completed.
The court document stresses that both the late singer’s wife and son are alive and remain the legitimate heirs to Mohbad’s property.
