Nigerian music veteran Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has spoken out for the first time since the controversy involving him and his wife, Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, began dominating social media discussions.
In a short Instagram Story post shared on Wednesday, the singer wrote, “Help me.”
His message came shortly after his brother, Hyacinth Idibia, publicly expressed worry on Instagram, quoting lines from one of 2Baba’s songs to emphasize his concern.

Hyacinth wrote, “You’ve always been ahead, always been brilliant. Lyrics meant to inspire, but somehow it’s unfolding in real time… Painful reality. Allow us save you. You’ve been suffering for too long. God knows.”
The tension between 2Baba and Natasha Osawaru has been building for weeks. Reports suggest the situation began in the United Kingdom, where a heated argument between the couple allegedly escalated to the point of police intervention, leading to the singer’s brief arrest.
The matter flared up again during an Instagram Live session with broadcaster Daddy Freeze, where both were seen engaging in a tense exchange. The incident intensified speculation online about possible marital issues, prompting fans to express concern for 2Baba’s well-being.
As of the time of filing this report, neither 2Baba nor Natasha Osawaru has issued a comprehensive statement addressing the unfolding situation.
