After their 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Elland Road, Leeds United have now gone seven games unbeaten in the Premier League, and Daniel Farke, for the first time in his career, did not lose against the Red Devils.
The teams were welcomed by a highly charged atmosphere, and Leeds responded past power and started the game slightly better, but United must have thought that they had got a goal when Matheus Cunha volleyed the ball in, but the goal was disallowed for offside. Clear chances were limited in the first half of the game, which was mainly a midfield battle; nevertheless, Dominic Calvert-Lewin almost scored when he headed a fine cross by Anton Stach against the bar. Meanwhile, at the other end, Lucas Perri was brilliant with a close-range save to deny Leny Yoro as United ended the half strongly.

After the break, the two teams continued in the same vein with the lack of ideas on the pitch, until finally, a defensive error resulted in a goal. Ayden Heaven from Manchester United was a little bit slow in getting the ball, which was allowed by Brenden Aaronson to strike, and this was his eighth goal in nine home games for Leeds.
The game was level again in a flash as Joshua Zirkzee, who came on as a substitute, had an immediate effect by setting up for Cunha, who scored to bring the score level. In the last minutes of the game, Manchester United were desperate to score the winner as Cunha’s low and hard-driven shot hit the post, while Joël Piroe also tried to score a late winner for Leeds.
The result means Leeds are still eight points above the relegation zone, while United wasted another opportunity to leapfrog Chelsea and Liverpool into the top four after winning one match out of their last five in the league.
