The late Nollywood actress, Allwell Ademola, has been laid to rest in Lagos after an emotional series of funeral rites attended by her family, close friends, and colleagues from the Nigerian film industry.
Ademola passed away at the age of 49 after reportedly suffering a heart attack at her residence.
She was said to have been rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency care but was later pronounced dead.
Her sudden death sent shockwaves through Nollywood, with many describing the loss as a painful blow to the industry.

Activities marking her final journey began on Thursday with a service of songs held at the Blueroof Auditorium of Lagos State Television, Ikeja.
The solemn event brought together actors, filmmakers, and loved ones who gathered to honour her life, career, and contributions to the creative space.
After the service, mourners embarked on a candlelight procession, creating a deeply moving atmosphere as tributes poured in for the late actress.
Her burial took place on Friday at the Atan Cemetery in Yaba, Lagos. During the interment, clergymen led prayers and hymns, after which family members and close associates paid their last respects by casting sand on her coffin.
Several notable Nollywood personalities were present at the graveside, including Toyin Abraham, Afeez Owo, Saidi Balogun, Yetunde Wunmi, and Adedoyin Kukoyi, among others.
Allwell Ademola was widely regarded as a multi-talented creative, making her mark not only as an actress but also as a writer and director. Although she began acting at a young age, her major professional breakthrough came in 2008. She went on to feature in well-known productions such as Ile Wa, Third Eye, Murder At The Bar, and Mimi’s Voice.
She leaves behind a body of work that continues to reflect her passion, versatility, and lasting influence within Nollywood.
