Peller Confirms Admission Into Lagos Varsity

Popular TikTok creator and livestreamer Hamzat Habeeb, widely known as Peller, has announced that he has secured admission to study Law at Caleb University in Lagos State.

The influencer made the disclosure in a video shared with his followers on Instagram on Saturday, delivering the news in his characteristic animated style.

In the clip, Peller addressed long-standing criticism about his educational background while celebrating the milestone.

Peller Confirms Admission Into Lagos Varsity

He said, “Hello, guys, everyone in the world is watching me. I got admission to a university in Lagos. Educated or not educated, they wanted to use that to end my life. Maybe I am the only one who did not go to university. Now we can do the challenge. I go to a private university, I go to a public university. It is the law that I am studying.”

In the caption accompanying the post, he added, “Congratulations to me o. Na so they call me this morning say I don’t get admission. Omo make una clear road, I go to pepper una.”

The announcement represents a shift from earlier moments when Peller openly spoke about his struggles with self-expression and public perception. On January 5, during a live session with fellow content creator Enzo, he revealed plans to further his education due to challenges with spoken English.

When asked to introduce himself in English at the time, he declined, saying, “My English is bad… but I am going to the university soon, I am an Art student.”

That admission drew mixed reactions online, with some viewers offering support while others were critical.

Peller has also attracted attention in recent months over his conduct on social media. In 2025, he made headlines after crashing his car during a live broadcast, an incident the Lagos State Police Command described as “extremely dangerous,” warning that it endangered both the influencer and the public. The matter was later transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.

His education again became a talking point in November 2025 after lawyer and activist Deji Adeyanju publicly advised him to return to school. Writing on Facebook, Adeyanju said, “Peller should go to school. Education will shape his life and destiny. He can still be doing all the TikTok and making money, but education will add real value to his life.”

He went further to recommend a legal career path, stating, “Let me suggest that he considers a law degree, but he must get a credit in Literature in English first.”

Adeyanju’s remarks sparked debate online, with supporters backing the call for formal education while others argued that Peller’s social media success proved certificates were not essential. Although Peller did not respond at the time, his latest announcement that he is now studying Law appears to reflect that earlier advice.
