Peter Nwachukwu, the husband of the late gospel musician, Osinachi, has been confined to Kuje prison by a Federal High Court in Wuse on Friday. This decision was made by Justice Njideka Nwosu-Iheme awaiting his hearing on the twenty-three count charges filed against him by the Attorney General of the Federation on homicide and domestic violence after Mr. Peter Nwachukwu pleaded not guilty to these charges.
The judge also ordered for accelerated hearing on his case and the case has been adjourned to the 16th and 17th of June.
The late popular gospel artist, Osinachi, had died on the 8th of April from wounds she got after he had allegedly assaulted her. He was arrested after her children, family and colleagues made allegations of him beating his wife which had led to her demise. He was charged for also emotionally, verbally, and psychologically abusing her.
The Late gospel musician is popular for her gospel song ‘Ekwueme’ which she sang with Prosper.
