Controversial Nigerian artiste Portable has announced that he has already received ₦40 million as appearance and consent fees for his upcoming boxing bout against internet personality Carter Efe.
The singer shared the update via Instagram, explaining that the organisers paid him the sum simply to accept the challenge. He added that he is confident of beating Carter Efe in the ring.
“I have collected ₦40 million from the organisers of the match to beat Carter Efe. They gave me the money just for agreeing to the fight. It is certain that I will beat him,” he said.

Portable also disclosed that billionaire businessman E-Money and music executive Soso Soberekon have each pledged ₦50 million, with E-Money also offering a car, if he emerges victorious.
“E-Money and Soso Soberekon have also said they will give me ₦50 million each if I win the match, along with a car from E-Money,” he added.
Carter Efe, in a TikTok video, confirmed his acceptance of the fight after being informed by Soberekon about the ₦50 million prize for the winner. He urged the organisers to announce the fight date, stressing his readiness.
“Make them put date, I don ready,” he said.
This upcoming encounter continues Portable’s run in celebrity boxing. In April 2025, he defeated Speed Darlington in a high-profile match. He also recorded wins over actor Charles Okocha in December 2023 and Kelvin Power, the bodyguard to award-winning singer Kizz Daniel, in February 2024.
With both entertainers trading bold statements, fans are eagerly awaiting the official date for what is expected to be another explosive celebrity showdown.
