At least four people have been confirmed dead following an attack by suspected armed herdsmen in Gwer West Local Government Area of Benue State on Saturday evening.
The incident reportedly plunged the community into panic as gunmen invaded the area, forcing residents to flee for safety.
Local sources disclosed that four bodies had been recovered at the time of filing this report, while several others remain unaccounted for, raising concerns that the casualty figure could rise.
One of the victims was said to have survived the attack but is currently unconscious, while search efforts continue for those still missing.
