Grammy-nominated Nigerian singer Davido is set to be recognised at the 2026 Black Music and Entertainment Walk of Fame in Atlanta, United States.
The Walk of Fame is a cultural landmark dedicated to celebrating Black entertainers whose work has made a lasting global impact.
Announcing the honour via Instagram, the organisers praised the Afrobeats star for his role in pushing African music onto the international stage.
“We are proud to announce our Summer 2026 honoree: Davido. Honoring Legacy,” the post read.

They further highlighted his influence in shaping global perceptions of Afrobeats and expanding its reach.
“Davido has helped bring African music to the forefront of the international stage. Known for his infectious hits, dynamic performances, and cross-cultural collaborations, he has built a sound that transcends borders while staying rooted in his heritage.
“Beyond music, his impact extends into philanthropy and entrepreneurship, inspiring a new generation of artists across the globe.
“Driving culture. Creating global impact.”
The induction ceremony is scheduled for June 1, 2026, in Atlanta, along Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Northside Drive, near the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Davido gained mainstream attention in 2012 with his breakout track Dami Duro from his debut album Omo Baba Olowo.
Since then, he has grown into one of Africa’s biggest music exports and a leading figure in the Afrobeats movement, widely regarded as part of its “Big Three.”
