The 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico this summer will be represented by the official song from two of the world’s biggest music stars, Shakira and Burna Boy.
The song ‘Dai Dai’ is a blend of Latin beats and Afrobeats in what is a multi-lingual anthem representing football’s global reach. The song also features both stars giving shout-outs to some of the countries and some of the football giants expected to be at this year’s World Cup, such as Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Japan, and the Netherlands.
The new song follows FIFA’s announcement that Shakira, Madonna, and K-pop star BTS would headline the first-ever World Cup final halftime show. On July 19 at MetLife Stadium, this will be a show to help the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund reach their goal of $100 million, which will support children’s education and football worldwide.

Shakira had revealed the song a few days before releasing it. She shared a clip where she was performing on a football pitch at Maracan Stadium, dancing on it, singing part of the song along with Burna Boy’s vocals.
The Colombian star is a well-known figure at FIFA World Cups after her iconic 2010 hit Waka Waka (This Time For Africa).
