Mourinho set for stunning return to Real Madrid as he is set to meet Florentino Perez next week to discuss being installed as the next boss.
Mourinho has allegedly confessed to close contacts at Benfica that he will be leaving the Portuguese giants to take the reins, despite being offered a new deal at The Eagles.
The Lisbon outfit is already busy trying to find his replacement, with Marco Silva of Fulham believed to be high on the list.

A long-term boss is being searched for at the Bernabeu to lead Los Blancos back to silverware, after failing to lift a trophy for the first time since 2009-10. Perez himself came under pressure when Barca secured yet another league title, and the playing squad was fraught with infighting.
Short-term stints by Xabi Alonso, who has left this year, and interim boss Alvaro Arbeloa failed to fire, have put the Real President in search of a proven winner.
The Portuguese boss will have a clause inserted in his contract to the value of about 3 million net, with Benfica looking to recoup as much of this as possible prior to a move.
