The ex-footballer Wayne Rooney has stated that Mohamed Salah should be dropped from Liverpool FC’s last fixture of the campaign after he publicly slated his manager, Arne Slot.
It was on Liverpool’s recent 4-2 loss to Aston Villa that Salah gave an interview with his side where he stated that the Reds “need to get back to that heavy metal football of Jurgen Klopp”. This was clearly seen as a stab in the back against Slot’s tactics after the failed season for the reigning Premier League champions.
Rooney said on The Wayne Rooney Show that Salah had effectively “downed tools” at the Reds and had undermined the manager and all of his teammates with less than a game to go in their season, with the last game taking on Brentford FC.

The ex-Manchester United man said, “I’d have him nowhere near the stadium, and he knows what he is doing, and you can’t twice make such disrespect to your manager”.
Salah will be playing his last game for the Merseyside outfit, having had 257 goals in his 9 years at the club. Rooney claimed that some of Liverpool’s players seemed to have “downed tools” this season at the Anfield outfit.
