As it anticipates a massive turnout for the 2026 World Cup, the City of Philadelphia is ready to welcome supporters for its FIFA Fan Fest at Lemon Hill with an all-inclusive transportation and mobility strategy.

The free Fan Fest at Lemon Hill in Fairmount Park will host all 64 World Cup matches live, alongside diverse cultural activities, family fun and diverse food vendors. “We want people from across Philadelphia and around the globe to be a part of the World Cup,” said Mayor Cherelle Parker in an announcement.

The city has invested $450,000 in PHLASH transit service expansion from Center City and the Historic District directly to the Lemon Hill site. In addition,SEPTA is adding and detouring buses with increased capacity, adding service on multiple routes, and adding extra vehicles for rush hour.

Several road closures and limitations on traffic will be in place throughout the event around Lemon Hill, in locations such as the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and local streets with reduced access from mid-June through mid-July.

Temporary resident parking permits will be required to be obtained for residents in and around affected roads with a charge of free to participate.

Bicycle, pedestrian and public safety efforts will also enhance accessibility and ensure event operations run smoothly for all participants.
