Chelsea had recently come forward with an offer worth roughly 50 million to sign the Belgian keeper to Stamford Bridge during this summer’s transfer window, according to Italian sources, but the Serie A club have already turned down their offer without hesitation.
The Giallorossi see the 26-year-old as one of their most vital players and have no intention of allowing their player to leave this summer, as multiple European clubs are eager to snatch him up.
Svilar has established himself as one of the most prominent goalkeepers in Serie A this season after putting on a number of brilliant performances between the sticks for Roma. The consistency between the sticks is one of the many reasons his reputation has grown to massive levels across Europe.

The Friedkin family are reportedly unwilling to sell their keeper for any price, as they see him as a vital member of the future plans for the club. New manager Gian Piero Gasperini is also considered to be a massive admirer of Svilar and would see the keeper as a central figure to his plans for the new season.
Chelsea have continued to pursue signings in this summer’s transfer window, but their quest to bring in a keeper of Svilar’s caliber has hit a large brick wall. It will now be up to the London club to try and explore other options in this summer’s window after having their bid rebuffed by the Serie A side.
