The Nigerian Police Force has ordered street artist, Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, to report or face arrest after he allegedly asked his thugs to beat up a helpless man in a viral video.

The ZaZu Zeh singer had accused a young guy of sending a message to his ‘wife,’ asking her to encourage him (Portable) to stay away from his pals since they had no glory, in a viral video.

The singer who refused to let the victim explain himself was heard yelling in yoruba “e luu pa,” which means “beat him to death.”

The police retaliated by ordering Portable to report to the Ogun State command, claiming that the event occurred within the state.

The Ogun State Police Command had been alerted to a video clip circulating on social media in which Portable was seen gathering some youths to beat up a young man and inflict bodily injury on him. The incident is said to have occurred roughly two days ago somewhere in Ogun State.

While calling the behavior as unfit and inhumane, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the spokesperson for the Ogun State police, ordered the singer to surrender or face being proclaimed wanted.

The spokeperson said that such disorderly and violent behavior is not only savage, but it is also disrespectful of someone who is supposed to be a role model for children, and would therefore not be condoned.

“In view of this, the Command is using this medium to advise Okikiola Habeeb, a.k.a Portable, to report himself at the nearest police station in Ogun State, failure of which his arrest will be ordered.”
