Veteran Yoruba actor Taiwo Hassan, widely known as Ogogo, has reportedly died at the age of 66 following his battle with cancer.
The actor was said to have passed away on Sunday after his health reportedly deteriorated in recent weeks.
His daughter, Kira Taiwo, announced the tragic development in an emotional video shared on social media. Overcome with grief, she repeatedly said, “My daddy is dead.”
The news comes shortly after Kira and her sister, Haleemah, disclosed that their father had been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and appealed for assistance from Nigerians, medical professionals and well-wishers.

The family had sought help in securing further treatment for the actor after revealing that his condition had become critical.
Ogogo was a respected figure in the Yoruba film industry and built a career spanning more than four decades. He was known for his memorable performances in numerous Yoruba-language movies and his contributions to the growth of Nollywood.
His reported death has left colleagues, fans, and members of the Yoruba movie industry mourning the veteran actor.
