United were taken to the cleaners by the Premier League visitors, who beat the Red Devils 3-0.
Manchester United manager Michael Carrick faced further scrutiny after his team was roundly beaten 3-0 by Bournemouth at Old Trafford.
It was the third loss in four home games for United, but Bournemouth stretched their undefeated run against the Red Devils to seven meetings.
Carrick’s big call was to omit skipper Bruno Fernandes to the bench after a poor midweek loss in Como.
Yet United failed to snuff out Bournemouth who went ahead when Rayan volleyed the ball into the net after 30 minutes from a free-kick delivered by Justin Kluivert.
Their lead was doubled prior to the interval, after Yoro had been robbed and Truffert picked out Tavernier who found the net with a tidy finish.

However, amid loud jeering from their own fans at the break, Carrick stuck with Fernandes for the second period and brought on Matheus Cunha instead.
Bournemouth pushed on, Evanilson’s early shot being disallowed for offside before Rayan blazed over from close range.
But the visitors wrapped it up when Evanilson chased down Lewis Cook’s throughball, turned goalkeeper Senne Lammens and shot home from a tight angle.
The outcome extended Bournemouth’s winning streak to four in a row across all competitions and went on United’s barren run in all competitions for eight games.
Carrick now bears increasing pressure as United fail to find a level of consistency.
