Excitement is high as Super Falcons will face off against the irrepressible Lioness of Cameroon today. Randy Waldrum, the head coach, explained that the nine-time WAFCON champion will have to do her best to defeat Cameron in the quarter-finals of WAFCON 2022, scheduled to take place today at the Stade Mohammed V Casablanca.

Historically, Cameron is no match for the Super Falcons as they were always defeated by the Super Falcons. They can’t afford to take risks after the Super Falcons lost to South Africa’s Bayana Bayana team, Randy Waldrum has long acknowledged the Super Falcons’ victorious win over Cameroon, but his players are bringing that attitude to the field today, Cameroon is a tough competition to beat.

We have to respect the history between the two teams. We have been involved in games against Cameroon in the past, but this game is ahead of us now,” Waldrum said at a press conference.

“It doesn’t matter now if we have more wins or they have more wins. What we experienced in qualifying helped us a lot.

“Nigeria’s history in this competition will not help us. We must win it on merit based on the work we do at the end of the day

“We have a very difficult task to come to this tournament. We also played against good teams from Ghana and Ivory Coast.

“Nothing was easy for us. We are walking a difficult path and we will be ready to walk it again.”

We sincerely hope that our girls make us proud today
