The Glamourous Life of BBNaija Winners of Past Seasons.

As preparations are made for the launch of the seventh season of Big Brother Nigeria reality TV show, we take a look at the previous winners from the last six seasons, the cash prizes they took home, endorsement deals, and other activities they got into after the show.

In less than 48 hours, the famous reality TV show, Big Brother Naija will be returning with season 7 and its organizers have declared a grand prize of 100 million naira.

Since it first aired as ‘Big Brother Nigeria’ in 2006, there have been six successful seasons of the show.

Season 1 (2006) – Katung Aduwak

The first-ever season of Big Brother Naija was held from 5 March to 4 June 2006. The show hosted by Michelle Dede and Olisa Adibua saw a then 26-year-old Katung Aduwak emerge the winner. He went home with the $100,000 prize money. He is now a filmmaker; he produced and directed the movies “Unwanted Guest” and “Heaven’s Hell.”

Season 2 (2017) – Efe Ejeba

It was themed “See Gobe” and launched in January 2017. Ex-housemate Ebuka Obi-Uchendu from season one hosted the show that saw Efe Ejeba emerge the winner of 25 million naira. He has collaborated with superstar rapper Olamide on the song “Warri.”

Season 3 (2018) – Miracle Igbokwe

The show returned for its third run on 28 January 2018 and was themed “Double Wahala”. Miracle Igbokwe from Imo state won the grand prize totaling N45 million including prizes. He became the Imo state education ambassador and he acquired his Private Pilot Licence.

Season 4 (2019) – Mercy Eke

The fourth season of Big Brother Naija launched on 30 June 2019 and was dubbed “Pepper Dem.” Mercy Eke emerged the winner of the show and the first female to win the reality TV show. She went home with a total of N60 million including gifts. She has gone on to launch her own real estate company, Lambe Homes.

Season 5 (2020) Laycon

He is the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 5, aka known as Big Brother Naija: Lockdown., Laycon was honored by his state Governor, Dapo Abiodun, as a Youth Ambassador as a son of Ogun State in the South-Western part of Nigeria.

Season 6 (2021) White Money

White money, a 29-year-old entrepreneur emerged winner of the reality show, ‘Shine Ya Eye’ edition with N90m grand prize. He has built a name for himself in the field of entrepreneurship.
