Before the general elections in 2023, the All Progressive Congress in the Northwest expressed concern about internal party conflicts shaking the party.
The states of Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Jigawa, Kebbi, Sokoto, and Zamfara are included in the Northwest zone.
Musa Mailafiya, the party’s zonal publicity secretary, cautioned while speaking to reporters in Kaduna on Saturday that if internal disputes were not resolved, the party might not win the general elections in 2023.
However, Mada pointed out that many actions were now being made to establish harmony and peace in the party in the zone by pacifying enraged members.
He claims that Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the party’s national chairman, is in control of the situation when it comes to the reconciliation of irate members.
He continued by saying that the zone fully supported the Chairman’s efforts to unify the party in time for the 2023 election.
“One of our strategies that are being publicly known is our reconciliation drive among our party members. That step is necessary because any political party as strong as APC anywhere in the world must watch its steps before and after its primary elections.”
