Jennifer Flavin, the wife of Sylvester Stallone, is calling it quits on their marriage after 25 years. According to court documents that E! News was able to obtain, the former model filed for divorce from the Rocky actor on August 19 at a court in Palm Beach County, Florida. Stallone’s representative cited the actor as stating in a statement on August 24 to TMZ “I cherish my family. We are resolving these private matters peacefully and in private.”
Since their union in May 1997, Stallone, 76, and Flavin, 54, have had three adult daughters: Sophie Stallone, 25, Sistine Stallone, 24, and Scarlet Stallone, 20. Ink artist Zach Perez published photographs of himself tattooing Stallone’s bicep with a doodle of Butkus, his “Rocky” character Rocky Balboa’s bull mastiff, over an existing tattoo of Flavin’s face only days before the couple’s divorce filing. Later, Perez removed the images, and an agent for the actor informed the Daily Mail, “Mr. Stallone intended to refresh the tattoo image of his wife Jennifer however the results were unsatisfactory and, unfortunately, unfixable. As a result, he had to cover the original image with a tattoo of his dog from ‘Rocky,’ Butkus.”
Additionally, roughly two weeks ago, Flavin posted a picture of herself hugging their daughters on Instagram with the remark, “These girls are my priority [red heart emoji] nothing else matters. The 4 of us forever…#truth #family #forever.” Sophia commented, “You are our rock, cheerleader, and most incredible mom. We are so lucky to have you…love you so much.” Additionally, Sistine referred to their mother as the “strongest woman I know,” while Scarlet added a heart emoji to her response.
