Ten Hag May be Forced to Choose Fernandes and Erikson- Danny Murphy
Danny Murphy, ex Liverpool star has stated that Ten Hag should think about starting Casemiro against Man City.
He also thinks that he will find it picking Midfielders, as Manchester midfield is currently very strong.
According to Murphy, Manchester United has improved no doubt But he has to decide if would prefer to play both Eriksen and Fernandez.
He also said that Normally Casemiro is a good player and has stayed on the bench for too long, it’s time for him to showcase his talents. However, Murphy writing in his latest BBC Sport column, said: “Manchester United’s midfield has played a big part in the recent resurgence by Erik ten Hag’s side — but he must get that area right at Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
“Ten Hag has to decide whether he keeps both Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes in there against Manchester City or chooses a more defensive-minded set-up and goes with two proper holding players this time.
“With a player as good as Casemiro waiting in the wings for his first league start, the temptation must be to partner him with Scott McTominay to give extra protection.”
Last year, Manchester United played against man city, Men City thrashed them, but there are now changes in the club, as the squad is very balanced, this will be a very tough match. Man City currently sits second in the EPL table with 17 points, while Manchester United is in the sixth position at the table with 12 points.
