I Lost
President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed how he lost his two children from his late first wife, Safinatu Buhari to sickle cell anemia.
This was disclosed in a documentary played at a private dinner organized by his family and close associates to mark his 80th birthday ceremony on Friday night at the State House Banquet Hall.
Safinatu, the first wife of Muhammadu Buhari, had been a teacher in Nigeria and the First Lady of Nigeria from 1983 to 1985.
According to Buhari, the loss had made him insistent on his second wife having an AA genotype. It was then discerned that he had carried the AS genotype.
On speaking about the country’s affairs, Buhari stated that he would not be missing Aso Rock much because of the constant harassment by Nigerians. He also noted that his efforts to make the country better were not good enough and appreciated by certain individuals.
