Prince Harry has according to sources, been written out of the script for his father King Charles’ coronation despite still being invited to the May 6 event. The legendary act of royal dukes kneeling before the King has been scrapped by Charles, requiring only Prince William to pledge allegiance.
The act will see the Prince of Wales pay homage to the king, touch the crown and kiss Charles on the right cheek.
Roya Nikkah, the royal editor of the Sunday Times, tweeted about it, saying:
“I can disclose that Prince Harry has been written out of the script for the royal coronation, with no official role in the service if he does attend.”
Meanwhile, Prince Harry had previously revealed he does want to go to King Charles’ coronation – but had insisted that the ball is in their (King Charles’) court, in a trailer for his upcoming interview with British TV station ITV.
