Reverend Father Michael Olofinlade, the parish priest of Saint George’s Catholic
Church in Omu Ekiti, in Oye Local Government, was kidnapped by unidentified gunmen on Saturday night.
According to information, Reverend Olofinlade was kidnapped on his way back from
Ado Ekiti between Itaji and Ijelu.
The Owajumu of Omu Ekiti, Oba Adeyeye Ogundeyi, disclosed that local hunters and security authorities had started looking for the missing Reverend Father.
The police have not yet responded to the event as of publication time.
