Dr. Babayo Liman, Bauchi State Coordinator of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) Presidential Candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has defected to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Liman, who is also the party’s North-East Zonal Secretary, announced his resignation at a news conference in Bauchi on Monday.
He stated that he and many of his supporters left the NNPP for the PDP because the
party lacked the organization to win elections in the country.
He stated that his choice to move sides was also influenced by the internal crises,
brazen disdain for the rule of law, and lack of unity among members as a result of the party’s bad leadership.
According to him, the NNPP’s leadership mismanaged the party’s affairs, resulting in the formation of several factions.
In the next election, he solicited votes for the PDP and its candidates at all levels.
