Concerning the forthcoming elections in February, the Ogun state government declares Tuesday 24th, and Wednesday 25th as work-free days for those in the public service to collect the Permanent Voters Card.

This was announced by Samuel Somonri, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Dapo Abiodun, in a statement, this is due to the extension by INEC on the PVC Collection.

It read partly, “Following the extension of the permanent voter cards collection till Sunday, January 29, 2023, by the Independent National Electoral Commission, Governor Abiodun has graciously approved two days – January 24 and 25, 2023, as work-free days to enable public servants to collect their PVCs from their respective local governments.”

The Governor carried out this exercise to enable full participation in the election, and there should be absolutely no reason why any adult wouldn’t vote.

Thus, should be emulated by all state Governments, seeing that the Collection itself is not an easy process and this the public service just has the weekends to do so, it is important that the aforementioned days be declared workfree for everyone to collect their PVC.

The elections are very close by and many Nigerians are still having problems accessing the PVCs. The deadline for the PVC Collection was extended to January 29th.

Remember your vote counts!

Your vote is your power!

Diligently exercise this power
