Some bandits have struck an attack at a church: Motailatu Church of God, Oke-Idahun Parish in Akure, the Ondo state, setting it on fire, and destroying valuable properties in the process.
The church, under the umbrella of the Cherubim and Seraphim sect, is situated along Imafon Road, Akure North LGA.
Meanwhile, the Resident Minister of the church, Very Rev’d David Akinadewo-Adekahunsi, had in a statement stated that the footprints of the arsonists were detected when he arrived at the church premises, adding that the damaged lectern and broken bottles had grabbed his attention as he arrived.
He then went on to reveal that the finished prayer room of the church had not been left out by the hoodlums as they had broken the window nets and damaged the tithe box.
The matter had been reported to the Oda Divisional Police Headquarters, Akure, according to the cleric and he has been assured that the individuals behind the arson attack on the church would be apprehended.
