A Benue State High Court has ordered an interim injunction preventing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), its National Working Committee (NWC), National Executive Committee (NEC), or its National Officers (elected or appointed) from removing Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom.
The order was granted on Thursday by Justice A. I Itoyonyiman in response to a suit filed on Wednesday with the case number MHC/46/2023.
The Plaintiff/ Applicant in the litigation is Samuel Joraer Ortom, while the first and second Defendants/ Respondents are the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The case has been scheduled for a hearing on February 24, 2023.
