The National Association of Nigerian Students, have revealed that they’ll endorse their Presidential Candidate on Thursday. Giwa Temitope, NAN’s National Publicity Officer, revealed this to News respondents on Monday.

According to Giwa, NANs as the National body of student organization in Nigeria, and NANs has an important role to play as regards the forthcoming elections, and they’ll endorse their candidate after proper consultations with all the necessary student bodies.

So on Thursday, they’ll be having a meeting with All the candidates, to discern which of the candidates to endorse, and which of the candidates are interested in fixing the education sector of the country. And after all the necessary consultations, they’ll pick the one that they feel is the best candidate.

He said, “We all know that NANS is the apex body of all student organizations in Nigeria both home and abroad. Because of the forthcoming presidential election, NANS is set to endorse its candidate after proper consultation with all Students Union Presidents, indigenous associations, Joint Campus Committees of the student body, and the Diasporan student leaders.

“Recall that a committee was set up last year to interface with all the presidential candidates; the APC, PDP, Labour Party, and the others. We have concluded and we will be having a town hall meeting on Thursday we have already invited all the candidates to have an interactive session with them to know who has our love at heart and has the desire to fix the education sector, health sector, and all sectors in Nigeria that is not working at the moment.

“After the interaction with the candidates, we will be endorsing the candidate that we believe will take Nigeria to a greater height.

The Presidential Elections are just 6 days away, on Saturday Nigeria will decide who will take up the helm of Governance of the country. Several Organisations have come out to endorse the candidates they’ll vote for in Saturday’s elections, and the NANs which control the entire body of students will reveal their candidate on Thursday. Come Thursday, we’ll know who the students in Nigeria are voting for.

Nigeria is not in the best state right now, it’s plagued with insecurity, high cost of living, and most importantly scarcity of cash, Nigerians have been subjected to untold hardship, so everyone is eagerly waiting for the February 25th elections to elect the Messiah that will save Nigeria from this mess.

There are however doubts if the Elections will hold or not, due to the several happening in different states in Nigeria, as there are protests in almost every state j the country, and this has raised doubts if the elections will indeed be safe.

Do you think that Elections will be free and fair?
