A 27 years old man, has been apprehended by the Lagos State Police Command for unlawfully having carnal knowledge of a nine-month-old child, who is too young to even know or understand the nature of the act.
According to the Lagos State Police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, the incident was reported to the police force on Monday at 10:00 pm by a member of the society, according to the witness, the suspect on seeing that the mother of the baby went out to buy something, he quickly went inside the apartment and raped the baby then he ran away, this incident happened at Railway Ijora Nadia.
The 16 years old mother of the baby, when she got back and was informed about the development, took the baby to the police station and was issued a medical form for her to take the baby to the hospital for medical attention. The suspect was later arrested on Tuesday
He said, “The suspect allegedly had sexual intercourse with the baby and immediately ran away from the scene.
“The mother of the baby, aged 16 years, came to the station with the baby and was issued a medical form to enable her to take the child to the hospital for urgent medical attention.
“However, on Tuesday at about 11:15 pm, the suspect was smoked out from his hiding by detectives from Ijora Badia Division.”
The suspect on interrogation admitted that he committed the act, the scene of the incident was visited by the police, and the baby’s pant which was stained with blood was taken as an exhibit. The case will be moved to the Gender section of the state command.
This is so pathetic, how can a full-grown man commit himself to having sexual intercourse with a baby?
