The elections are over, but the protests continue to linger on, today members of the People’s Democratic Party and the All Progressive Congress in Port Harcourt clashed on Monday.
What started as peaceful protests by members of the People’s Democratic party at the Independent National Electoral Commission’s office, along Aba road in Port Harcourt where they demanded an inspection of the electoral materials used in the March 18th election.
Suddenly it turned into a violent protest as members of the PDP on sighting Tonye Cole, the All Progressive Congress Governorship Candidate they started throwing stones and sachet water at him, and Cole was immediately whisked away from the area.
One person was hit by a stray bullet as the crowd became rowdy.
