Tragedy struck in Obafemi Awolowo University when students decided to take laws into their own hands, as Okoli Aishe a final year student of engineering was lynched to death after she was accused of stealing a phone.

The spokesperson of the university, Mr. Abiodun Olarewaju revealed in an interview, that two suspects as regards the case have been arrested, and that a committee has been set up to investigate further into the case and to arrest those involved.

He further lamented that they never knew that students could display such a level of indiscipline that will lead to the death of their fellow students.

“Nobody knows that students can go to that level of indiscipline to cost the life of their mate,” he said.

Coming from Obafemi Awolowo University such an act, is quite shameful for the reputation of the school, as how can educated students result in jungle justice when there are security Operatives that can be reported to?
