At least 4 persons suspected to be United States of America Embassy officials in Nigeria are feared dead following the attack in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The mission of the deceased to the riverine area of Anambra State has not yet been ascertained but it was gathered that their convoy had come under fire by unidentified gunmen.
Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr Tochukwu Ikenga has confirmed the incident as well as the US Embassy in Nigeria, adding that its personnel were collaborating with the Nigerian security operatives to get to the root of the matter.
